Laid Off
Worked 20 years for a fortune 500 company hoping to retire. On my 20th anniversary date (to the day), the fine HR people handed me my walking papers. Since then, there were not too many companies that were looking for a good ole' US born manufacturing engineer since most of the USmanufacturing is now done overseas.
Getting my own insurance is bleeding me of the savings I used to have with as a full time employee. The free pharmacy plan is just the kind of help I really need to survive with a family of 7.
