Well, I’m writing this for my mother who is visually disabled. In other words, my mom is blind; she has numerous medical conditions, which include heart disease, kidney disease, high blood pressure, cholesterol, and diabetes. She is unable to maintain the cost of her medicines, which keep her alive. She was under a prescription plan with my father whom had taken her off due to a divorce and left her with no other coverage. She then met another man who was to be my stepfather, who after 5yrs walked away and immediately removed her from the health insurance. My mother is unable to survive without these medications and she is unable to obtain Medicare or social services. They say she collects too much in social services and honestly, I don’t see where $2000 a month, with a mortgage and a young child to provide for on her own leaves much room to pay $700.00 a month for medicines. There is no happy ending to this story, just needed medical coverage.
